Carlie Heldoorn’s dream has always been to open her own dance school and share her love of the arts with the younger generation. Her background includes RAD ballet (Advanced 1) Jazz, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, National Character and Irish. Carlie’s varied career includes local Australian work with artists like the Wiggles, Screaming Jets and the fashionable Alannah Hill. Internationally, Carlie spent almost a decade overseas in the US entertaining audiences over the Caribbean Islands on board Carnival’s Cruise Lines lavish cruise ships.

Since returning home Carlie taught at many schools within the Sydney area. Craving greater knowledge of the body, movement and teaching, Carlie studied with the Royal Academy of Dance in London and graduated with registered teaching status. Since then, Carlie has sent her own students through their RAD ballet exams guiding them to a 100% pass rate. Never resting on her desire to learn more, Carlie completed her Diploma in Dance Teaching and Management and also is a registered Acrobatic teacher through Acrobatic Arts.

Carlie is a member of the most prestigious ballet organisation, The Royal Academy of Dance UK, mentoring students through the Certificate of Ballet Teaching Studies programme. Carlie also obtains her certificate lll and lV in fitness specialising in boxing and boot camps.

For over 10 years, Carlie guided the students of many dance schools, helping them to realise their dreams of becoming ballerinas. With the opening of her own school in July 2013, she can pilot her own students to their individual careers and watch them grow into performers but more importantly wonderful adults.

Tyler Pendergast

Miss Tyler has been a student of TPD for more than 3 years and we are so happy she can now pass on her love of dance to our future students.
Miss Tyler will be teaching the Little Ballerinas and Little Danseurs Classes as well as leading the AcroDance classes with Acrobatic Arts.

Here is a little about Miss Tyler......
Tyler started dancing at the age of 3 and that's when her love of dance started. Since then the studio is like a second home to her. Studying in numerous genres including RAD ballet (Advanced Foundation), Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Lyrical, Acrobatics, Hip Hop, Latin and Musical theatre.

Over the last year Tyler completed a year of study at Ettingshausens Full-time in 2016, where she achieved her certificate IV in dance and has been inspired by many world renowned choreographers.

Tyler is now also a registered Acrobatic Teacher under Acrobatic Arts. She is looking forward to teaching the students new skills and also passing her knowledge and passion for dance down to the younger generation in an encouraging safe environment.

Luke Marsden

Bachelor of Dance Education Luke has an extensive performing arts history that began with a Scholarship for Dance and Drama from years 7 – 12 at Ashcroft High School.
It was here that Luke’s passion for dance saw him take part in the prestigious South West Sydney regional dance festival for over 3 years, Participation in the State Dance Festival and School Spectacular for several years. Luke gained a place in the Boys Dance ensemble which led to him auditioning for a spot at the Australian College of Physical Education Dance Degree. Upon entry to the College Luke joined the Australian College of Physical Education Dance Company.
While performing with the dance company Luke participated in the City of Sydney Eisteddfod on the Full time dancers section and placed Highly Commended. The company saw Luke also Perform at Dance Life and a featured act at Carnival Sydney and Australian Dance Festival. The company also had various other performances’ including graduation performances and annual year Show case.
Luke studied under the guidance of Jess Taylor and formed a strong style in Jazz. Luke has over 7 years studio teaching under his belt. Luke’s works are dynamic, exciting and extremely different.
In 2013 Luke completed his Dance Degree at the Australian Collage of Physical Education and is now working at Ashcroft High School as a fulltime PDHPE teacher and Year 8 Advisor

Bianca Maso

Bianca started dancing at 8 years of age studying RAD ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre and acrobatics. This started her love of dancing and performing. Since then Bianca has performed at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast and on the Carnival Spirit.
Since joining TPD as a student 4 years ago, Bianca has come leaps and bounds in her confidence and training. She has sat her module 1 training course with Acrobatic Arts becoming a certified assistant teacher and is looking to sit her certificate III in assistant teaching in 2019.
We love supporting the passions of our students who wish to progress into teaching and can’t wait to have Bianca join our team in 2019
